SOME OF OUR SESSIONS
Where it all began
Casa Rovira was born in Canet de Mar, in the Maresme region, 45 km north of Barcelona. Its story began many years before its construction. It started as a dream a child had by the sea.
Architecture and style
The house is an example of Mediterranean architecture and a renowned and representative work of Coderch’s style. Its design blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape and enhances the ever-present horizon.

The Casa Rovira project
Situated in an exceptional location, right on the beachfront, and built atop a rocky promontory that slopes directly down to the sea, the house opens up to the sky like a grand viewpoint. The steep terrain was both the challenge and the starting point of the project.
José Antonio Coderch knew how to adapt to the rugged terrain. His architecture, with its wide open spaces, unfolds naturally across the hillside.
Coderch
THE ARCHITECT
At Casa Rovira, building on his discoveries from previous single-family home projects, Coderch continued his process of adapting to new constraints. The result speaks for itself. The preservation of over 95% of the initial design—including much of the original furniture—reinforces the enduring relevance of his legacy.
