City Icons: Barcelona & Beyond, 29–31 May 2026, at Casa Rovira
On Sunday, 31 May, Casa Rovira welcomed close to eighty visitors as part of the City Icons Barcelona programme, including professionals and people with an interest in architecture. This initiative, led by Natascha Drabbe, founder of Iconic Houses, offered the opportunity over the course of the weekend to discover singular buildings both in the city of Barcelona and in other towns.
The visit to Casa Rovira was organised in small groups of around thirteen people, who toured the house, the garden and the outdoor spaces while observing the details of the project with care. While one group was taking the tour, another shared a lunch by the pool, contributing to the smooth and pleasant flow of the day.
The attendees, who came from fourteen different nationalities—including American, Belgian, New Zealander, Portuguese, Dutch, French, English, German, Italian, Austrian, Spanish and Czech visitors—had spent the weekend following the full programme itinerary, which included:

- The Mies van der Rohe Pavilion
- Casa Navàs (Reus)
- Mas Miró (Mont-roig del Camp)
- Casa Moratiel and the Batlle i Roig studio (Esplugues)
- Walden 7 (Sant Just Desvern)
- Casa Taller Corberó (Esplugues)
- Les Escales (Pedralbes)
- Casa Bloc (Barcelona)
- And finally, Casa Rovira, as the closing visit of the itinerary
An exceptional itinerary that gave the visit a particularly rich and meaningful context.
For us, it was an honour to open the doors of the house and share its heritage value with such a diverse and attentive audience.
